The season begins in April, when Time Flies is usually found fishing the south shore bays for striped bass, weakfish, and blues. As Capt. Adrian put it, "Nothing kicks off the year like fishing for linesiders in shallow water and watching them inhale a fly of soft plastic!"
As the water warms up, so does the offshore fishing. Shark, Bluefin, and Mahi Mahi are all within range for some fantastic battles on fly and light tackle gear. Capt. Adrian often starts the morning trolling or casting to tuna, then sets up the chum for shark action in the deep blue sea.
In the fall, Capt. Adrian is a regular at the Montauk Yacht Club and considers the "fall run" to be the ultimate Long Island fishing, with fast action for striped bass, false albacore, and bluefish. If the action slows on top, we drop to the bottom and load our coolers with black seabass, fluke, and porgies.
"Incredible day. Thank you Capt Adrian !!! That was the kind of day I doubt I will live long enough to see another like it, Fish everywhere.
Thanks again,
Charles Beck"
